Description

This very unique rig is really something special... everything is crisp "Just Like New Money". A special conversion that was featured and documented in the June 2009 edition of "Rod & Custom Magazine" called "Making Deliveries" (unit #2).  Link CLICK HERE

According to historic records, the last Deuce body to go into production was the sedan delivery. Only about 400 of these units were ever built, with most receiving commercial usage, very few originals remain today. Ford built these units by converting Tudor sedans, quarter glass areas filled, big rear door w/rear glass added and drip rail over the door...

Thanks to a wood kit provided Doug McRae of Topeka Kansas and restoration shops like Kemps Rod & Restoration of Hancock, Michigan, a few more of these unique vehicles are hitting the road today!

This fine example is owned by well known 32 Ford aficionado "John Stimac of the Hot Rod Shop of Milwaukee" were it received it's special power-train and finishing touches. The end result is one VERY Fine "Retro Rod". The restoration started with a rock solid and rust free California specimen with "All Henry Steel" including original long louver hood side panels....($48,500 cost) No Excuses!

Equipment

Engine Misc: 1953 Mercury 286 CID Flat Head V8 featuring all new Ross Pistons, MSD Ignition, Headers w/Professional dual exhaust system, Offy Heads/Intake, Edelbrock 500CFM Carb, Ceramic sealed cooling system, 12 Volt system and more. Notes: All gear boxes running 600W, Engine fresh Brad Penn Green SAE30 w/Zinc additive for solids.

Transmission: 1939 Ford manual completely rebuilt as new with NOS bearings (nothing made in China)

Differential: 1934 Ford Rear Axle rebuilt with 32 Driveshaft.

Chassis & Components:
Juice (hydraulic) F/R Brakes, Dropped Front Axle, "Posies" F/R Super Slide Springs & Shackles, Lever type Rear Shocks newly rebuilt by Gennie, Front Gas Shocks,  18" 32 Ford wheels w/rare beauty rings, special lock rings to seal Kelsey Hayes wire wheels to 48 Ford style drums, 450 x 18 Front Excelsior Motorcycle tires, 600 x 18 Rear Englebert English Racing and more...

Body, Interior & Misc: All Henry Steel, All 3 doors shut perfectly like bank vaults (solid no rattles), original NOS 32 door handles w/special long shafts & locks (all doors lock), grill insert 100% original Gull Gray NOT French gray, Special dispatch box & drip rails, all new "Sanders" glass w/tinted rear glass (in glass -not stick on), new "Bob Drake channel kits, new repro window regulators (roll up and down like new), stock fuel gauge hydrostatic w/elect amp, turn signals utilize rear tail-lamps and front cowl lamps and ALL new interior with Russet Brown vinyl & contrasting Football Vinyl Fabric on Gennie seats.
