Here's a "Good Solid Runner, Driver and Survivor,
Bonnie and Clyde Style", seriously this is the same year
and model car that they took their last breath in, now
of course this is not the car but you could shoot
a few bullet holes in it, lay the Thompson on the
seat and pretend... Ha, made ya grin...
Let's move along, this rock solid 1934 Ford standard
4-door sports an all steel Henry Ford body that
show's years of faithful service, patina and
inviting character. Inside and out this unit makes
you wonder, given the ability, what type of fun
stories could it tell? From the years of entry wear
spots on the running boards to the way this old girl
drives and as you shift gears with the "Century of
Progress 1934 Ford" shifter knob, you may find
yourself stepping back in time as you motor on down
the road...
After many years of protected indoor storage, the
current owner and early Ford enthusiast woke her up
and revived her to the current roadworthy condition.
The original Flathead V8 engine (included) had a few
stuck valves and with a readily available power
plant, a decision was made to update her with an
excellent running bolt-in 24 Stud 59AB style V8
retired from another Street Rod project. The rest of
the power-train, transmission, differential,
steering, suspension and mechanical braking system
are original in A-1 working condition...
She
purrs like a kitten, shifts like butter with a new
fuel pump, coil, fresh tune up, carburetor overhaul, new
battery, excellent original radiator
completely rebuilt, new hoses, belt and all fluids
changed with proper qualities in rear end, trans,
engine, steering gear, shocks and every grease
fitting greased. Everything works except the fuel
gauge, wiper motor and horn...
In closing, a good solid body with no signs of rust, no excuses
and wonderfully aged patina. Not Perfect
and Not New but I am not sure anyone would would
want it any other way, you can drive this old girl
while you preserve and/or take it to the next
level.... Good Day!
