Description

Take a closer look at this rock solid retro rod survivor! This wonderful character is part of a large Lake Havasu City, Arizona collection with known dry climate history (Arizona-California). It has changed hands back & forth between 3 good friends over approximately 30yrs and there is no mistake about its good honest presence.  It's a special treat when a car like this becomes available...

One of only 4,896 built, this amazingly solid rumble seat body is all original "Henry" steel with no exterior cosmetic modification's other than the chopped folding convertible top, windshield and windshield stanchions (the original windshield components are included). It has the look...

The chassis remains 100% original with only a few changes in the rolling stock including updated 1940 Ford "juice" F/R drum brakes, dropped front axle (original axle included), front stabilizer bar, lowered standard rear leaf suspension, upgraded gas shocks, steelie wheels w/trim rings, Ford script hub caps and wide white radial tires. Moving along...

Power under the hood is a standard Flathead 2bbl V8 fitted with heat coated headers, dual exhaust and updated water pumps to keep it running cool. Transferring the simple power is a standard 3 speed transmission and non-overdrive rear differential. Fire it up....

Just like the rest of this honey, the interior and dash remains pretty much as Henry designed it including all factory dash components, instrumentation, steering column, Banjo wheel, manual floor shift, emergency brake and cloth wiring. The front seat has been upgraded with a stock appearing Glide engineering component for ease of adjustment and lower stance due to the chopped windscreen. The front and rear rumble seat surfaces are of high grade leather. We think you get the idea...

Flathead V8, 3 Speed and Keys
Known Facts

Free and Clear Private Party Titled in Arizona with the original 1935 Vin#. A great solid survivor that's been respected, protected, cosmetically & mechanically maintained as needed and lightly enhanced over the years. It's not new and not perfect but we are certain many would not want this one any other way unless you are going to take it to the next level. Not Restored but Well Preserved! Runs fine, drives good, it's a little cold blooded when 1st started, runs cool even in AZ temps and like a true flathead, it drips a little oil. We think you get the idea; it's a great looker and quite the honey...
