We
often wonder, if an old car could talk, what type of
story would it tell? It's a very special occasion when
you have the opportunity to own a vehicle that has
remained in the same family since it was purchased brand
new, especially when it was 1st sold in November of
1936. Yes, that's 75 years of a Grandfather's new pride
and joy, a Father's need to transport his family and 2
son's who cherish the memories. The story it has to tell
literally exudes the evolution of the American Hot
Rod...
Incredible single family owned for 3 Generations, it has hauled sons,
daughters, kids and grandkids. It's moved the families,
taken out dates, enjoyed drive in’s & cruisin and
officially became a "High School Hot Rod" in the mid
50's. For 57 years, this grandson has taken the road that
just about every true Hot Rodder has ever traveled, only
with the same car. From the back seat, to the grocery
store, up thru High School & College, to the Drive In
Diner, onto an early So-Cal Drag Strip and then the cherished family
Street Rod...
Over
the years, it has been transformed into the beautiful
all steel “Modern Resto-Rod” that you see today.
As you can imagine, it’s been updated several times, starting with Grandpa’s original 85HP V8 it
transitioned to a later “Hopped Up” Flathead V8 and onto
a 59 Chevy 283 Dual 4bbl crate V8 w/4Speed and then to
the 1963 Chevy 327 Corvette crate engine that’s in it
today. Simply Amazing...
In
closing, truly a character of time and decades of real
Hot Rodding, you will not want to miss this great
opportunity. The rest is history and future
generation's can be yours... Doo Wopp |
