Extremely rare and part of a prestigious Southern
California automotive collection. This particular race car
is 1 of 2 known to exist today. Originally, all
components were numbered by Kurtis during assembly and it
is believed that only 10 units were ever produced. The
cost new was $1,800 and were generally owned/raced by kids
of wealthy families (about the cost of 2 Ford's). Based in
research, this car was from the San Moreno area and is
believed to have been owned by one of the "Wrigley" kids...
All aluminum hand
built hammered-welded body and downsized components to
appear like their full size counterparts including mini
Schroeder steering box, Model A style ring & pinion rear
differential, chain driven torque tube, faux rear brake
drums, inboard brake bands attached to ring gear, F/R
midget style springs & steering. brushed metal dash and
powered by a Lauson single cylinder engine... |
