Engine: The engine is a built 292 flathead built by Ford
V-8 expert Dave Tatom of Mt. Vernon, Washington, connected to a Ford C4 automatic transmission. As
you can see from the photos the engine shows exquisite
attention to detail and operates equally smooth. It is all new, high tech and
reliable as can be. It is detailed down to the nuts and
bolts for show quality in every detail.
Chassis: The chassis has been fully boxed. Four wheel disc
Wilwood brakes and of course all stainless brake lines
and fuel lines. The front suspension is independent
Mustang II with power steering and the rear end is the
reliable 9" Ford. The highest compliment about the
suspension and engineering on this car is that it drives
as good as it looks.
Body & Paint: The car is an original California car. It
was a dream original to begin its journey to its current
condition. The dark green special paint compliments to
magnificent wood perfectly!
Wood: The wood was done by Woodie Guru Ron Heiden in
Encinitas, California. After a one-year wait to get into
his shop, the two-year project from there was beyond
perfection and well worth the wait. Ron is widely
recognized in the woodie community as the very best and
one who does not cut corners. His work speaks for
itself.
Interior: The interior is perfect. All three original
seats and the highest quality glove leather obtainable over
aircraft foam padded seats. Zero wrinkles and all French
stitching to perfection. Square weave carpet, Mercedes Hartz cloth top, chocolate interior paint highlight the
workmanship by Westminster Auto Upholstery in Tustin,
California.
Small Details: The dash is magnificent in it's
presentation and presence with every single detail. Fully wood grained
and all instruments are original "digitized" for
perfection in engineering. The radio is a new Old Stock
original that has been connected to and controls both
the XM radio and iPod, which are hidden in the glove
box. All speakers and XM antenna are hidden. |
