Loaded with
big grins, this Hemi powered toy drips with fun factor
and drag strip memories. The Engish Ford "Anglia"
(Latin name for England) was known as Britain's lowest
priced 4 wheel car, in 1949 when this particular
model was produced, magazine's rated top speed at 57mph
and fuel consumption at 36 mpg. Like other Anglia's from
this era, it is far from it's original roots, as they were
often used in early Drag Racing for obvious wheel
standing reasons :-) Let's move along...
Very street-able and show
ready, this Pro-Street version will certainly shake the
windows and revive memories of yesterday. Receiving a
complete and thorough nut bolt restoration, its an all
original steel body with the exception of the rear
fenders. Dripping with quality, the deep Jet Black
basecoat/clearcoat paint and Candy Red flames are only
highlighted by its whistle straight panels...
Resting on a custom built
and very stout rectangular steel chassis featuring
narrowed Ford 9" Posi-Trac rear differential 373 ratio,
custom 4 bar coil-over rear suspension, driveline safety
loop, custom tubular front suspension w/coil over shocks
(Mustang II style), Rack-N-Pinion steering, 4 Wheel Disc
Brakes and rolling on huge 15"x15" ET rear wheels with
Hoosier Pro-Street 31x16.5 radials...
Powered by a 1956 354 Chrysler
Hemi racing engine custom built by Rex Hutchinson Racing
Engines (Est 900hp-$25k), polished 671 GMC blower,
Holley 1000cfm 4bbl Carburetion, 250hp nitrous oxide
injection system, vertex magneto, custom firewall,
electric cooling fans, custom built headers with huge 3"
exhaust and transferring the power is a Trick
Power-Glide Transmission w/2500 stahl...
Moving
inside the cockpit, you will find gray leather bucket
seating, custom door panels, all new glass, customized
dash with center pod featuring full Auto-Meter
instrumentation, Auto-Meter Tachometer w/recall and a
