Nicely presented, this
beautiful Ice
Blue 62 BT7 2+2 features a complete professional
restoration executed by Southern California marque
specialist, Kurt Tanner. Completed in 2002-2003 and
subsequently purchased from the restorer at the
prestigious Pebble Beach auction events. Since that time
it has been enjoyed very few miles, properly respected
and always protected indoors...
According to
representation at time of purchase, the restoration
began as a "highly original, rust-free, correct numbers
matching car, it was a prime candidate for a concours
restoration. The Healey received a no-expense-spared
exhaustive restoration that began by completely
disassembling the car and stripping the body to bare
metal", see complete restoration description below...
The exterior body features
a professional Dupont Chroma-system basecoat/clearcoat
"Ice Blue" finish while the interior is fitted in
correct matching "Navy Blue" leather seating surfaces and
correct Wilton wool carpet. Other items included during
the restoration were new panel kit, seat belts, Armacord
trunk kit, spare tire, new navy blue Everflex soft top
and side curtains w/bag...
As a complete body off
restoration, the chassis was also stripped, prepped and
finished in catalyzed polyurethane. All power train
components were rebuilt or replaced with correct parts
including carburetors, new wiring, generator, starter,
distributor, cooling system, new radiator, pistons,
bearings, cylinder head, reground crankshaft, upgraded
rear seal kit, gaskets, 3 piece clutch, driveshaft and
rebuild of 4 speed transmission/overdrive. The engine
compartment was correctly detailed to original
specifications with factory paint finishes, decals and
stickers... |
