Incredibly Bad to the Bone,  your "Heartbeat" will instantly rise when you twist the key on this Z-Car. Currently resting in the hands of the 3rd and 5th owner with an amazing 18,519 known actual miles on the chassis (1980 3,300 miles). Yes, it's an original Z-28 with a performance twist, it is believed that it's early years and low miles reflect enthusiast enjoyment, garage queen status and potential 1/4 mile passes down the drag-strip. Not quite your everyday driver :-)  It has recently received a very professional mechanical & exterior once over, exceeding the $35K mark, it's quite the street ready thumper...

It's probably best to start with the rock solid chassis and 12437 Norwood body. Interior Trim "712" = Black Custom Bucket Seats, Paint "10-B" = Tuxedo Black w/Black Vinyl top, Build date code "04C" = April 3rd week, Option code "X-77" = Z-28. Always known as solid with original floor and trunk pans. Long ago the original engine was either destroyed or lost but the recent upgrades feed it's muscle car roots while maintaining some serious driving fun. With factory style 302 emblems on the hood, the casual observer has no idea what's under the hood, it is still a real Z car with a sleeper bark. The owner hired a well known local speed shop "Havasu Speed Equipment" to put together a nice and tight driving package consisting of a thorough engine once over, transmission conversion, modern power & steering up-grades, air conditioning & custom exhaust...

Under the hood resides a marine origin 4-bolt main 454 Big-Block completely machined, balanced & blueprinted rotating mass with the following features; Approx 468 cubic inches, decked & bored 30 over, 10/10 forged crankshaft, 10 to 1 compression ratio,  SRP forged pistons w/Speed-Pro moly rings, Brodix aluminum cylinder heads (2.25 intake/1.890 exhaust valves-CCd' avg 114cc), 11-432 Comp Cams Hydraulic Camshaft (510/510 lift), Crane push rods, Melling HV oil pump, polished Air Gap intake manifold, B3770 Holley carburetor, MSD Ignition and custom Griffin radiator.  Thump, Thump...

Other vehicle upgrades/features include complete 700R4 auto-overdrive transmission conversion, original style console & shifter w/correct 700R-4 O/D shift detents, professionally balanced & aligned drive shaft, heat coated headers w/custom Mandrel bent 2 1/2 exhaust, new power Rack and Pinion steering conversion, factory power disc brakes, polyurethane suspension bushings, new Vintage air conditioning & heat, full factory instrumentation w/Pro-Comp Drag Tachometer and you get the idea...
