This Charger was originally purchased at JOY MOTOR SALES
in Emmett, Idaho. Regular services were performed at
Broadway Chevron in Boise from the mid 70's until the
station closed in 2006. The car was always garaged, the
current owner acquired it in 2004 with the odometer at 58,649
and began the refurbishment. Seats & visors have been
recovered and a new headliner installed. The rest of the
interior is original and in excellent condition.
Rear trans seal & pinion seals were replaced and new
universal joints installed. New dual exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers has been added.
The exterior has been repainted in base coat/clear coat
with the jambs, trunk and under hood finishes being left
original. Bumpers & guards were re-plated. Trim was
cleaned/polished or replaced with NOS pieces as
required. Extensive detailing was performed to achieve
original "as new" appearance of engine & compartment,
suspension, etc. AC has been converted to 134a
refrigerant. Compressor is remanufactured, drier &
expansion valve are new, and a compressor cycling
thermostat has been installed. Wheels are reproductions
of original Magnum 500 option with these changes: fronts
are 15 x 7, rears are 15 x 8. Redline radial tires are
P215/70R15 & P255/60R15 SX 5000's from DIAMONDBACK
TIRES. The shock absorbers are KYB. Hideaway headlight door
and grill paint detail was meticulously restored. Body
badges were cleaned, polished and repainted or replaced.
The clock was replaced with a reproduction tachometer.
In Sept 2009 the car passed an emissions test and is
certified by Ada County, State of Idaho. In summary,
virtually everything has been inspected, cleaned,
restored or replaced and the result is a beautiful solid
Charger with approximately 40 original options. It is a
pleasure to drive and show. Included are the following
original items: title, payment contract, broadcast
(build) sheet, vehicle sales order, temporary
registration, operators manual, emissions booklet, seat
belt instructions, Chrysler Corp consumer info sheet,
and manufacturer's warranty. License plates are not
