basecoat/clearcoat with modifications including
re-designed "Downs Manufacturing" fiberglass fenders &
smoothed running boards, smoothed drip rail, filled roof
seam, V-butt windshield, shaved trim & door handles,
hidden door hinges, side open deck lid, custom
tail-lights, 3rd brake light, Hagen smooth fuel door, poly
fuel tank, Vision side mirrors, Bitchin floor/firewall,
flip-down license plate and more...
The Ford Vin# factory chassis was reinforced, boxed and
C'd to allow the low stance. Features include fully
independent Heidt's Mustang II front suspension, tubular
control arms, adjustable coil-over front shocks, power
rack-n-pinion steering, ECI 4-wheel power Disc brakes,
Posies parallel rear leaf springs, gas rear shocks and
rolling on polished "Boyds Blasters" aluminum wheels with
Sumitoma radial rubber (GM 4 3/4 bolt pattern, Front
18"x7" 225/40ZR18, -Rear 18"x8" 245/40ZR18)...
Resting under the hood is a GM 350 300HP crate engine and
transferring the power is a rebuilt GM 700R4 automatic
overdrive transmission, Denny's custom driveshaft, Ford
Currie 9 inch rear end with 323 ratio and 28 spline axles.
Other features include polished aluminum intake manifold &
600cfm 4V carb, "Billet Specialties" valve covers, high
flow water pump, Griffin aluminum radiator, remote trans
cooler, dual electric cooling fans, polished A/C
compressor, electric fuel pump, HEI crossfire ignition,
HPC coated hugger headers, stainless steel mufflers and
aluminized dual exhaust...
The laid back interior features premium quality tan
