"The Fabulous Hudson
Hornet"! Historically noteworthy and uniquely rare as
1
of approximately 500 built, the Hudson Hornet during this
period was known as the "Step Down" design years, where
the body was placed lower over the cars frame assembly,
which created an improved center of gravity. This forward
thinking design combined with Hudson's already proven
inline 6 cylinder, improved 7.2 to 1 compression ratio and
"H145" Carter dual carburetion allowed the coupe model to
become a successful race car in the NASCAR stock car
racing series. Simply put, Hudson left others in the
dust...
This example is presented as
the type of car "that you can show, enjoy & drive", one
that would be best described as an "older amateur quality
restoration and/or preservation". While this example is
"not perfect and most certainly not new", in pristine
restored condition, these cars have proven their
collectable status with a "Milestone" rating and recorded
auction sales well into the 6 figure range...
