Very stylish, extremely sexy
and uniquely rare,
Enzo Ferrari once called it "the most beautiful car ever
made"...
The Jaguar E-Type was introduced
at Geneva in 1961 and produced through mid-1974. The
Series I cars had an enlarged 4.2-liter engine,
fully-synchronized four-speed gearbox...
The style of the car was retained for 1965 with no
external changes. The years that followed, the E-Type
would conform to the onslaught of safety and emission
regulations that altered both the appearance and
performance. Thus, the Series I cars - built from 1961 to
1966 - are highly prized and sought after in modern times.
Let's learn more about this beauty...
Rock solid and rust free
with known dry climate history. It has rested in the hands
of the same owner since 1978/79 and/or about 37 years.
Most of these ownership years were spent in a Southern
California storage unit while he worked on it's
restoration and subsequently, the car migrated to Arizona,
where the overall restoration was recently completed...
As a personal choice, the
car has received a professional quality Urethane single
stage "Carmen Red" color change during the restoration
(original believed Beige). The bright-work is nicely
preserved, restored and/or re-plated. Dressed in chrome
spoke wheels with period style red-line tires. The
interior of the car is well presented in factory black and
English leather...
The mechanicals and
power-train are in good working order and/or were restored
as needed during the restoration, including suspension
components, braking, clutch assembly, cooling, seals, etc.
