This
stunning survivor carries known 3 owner history, 49K
actual miles and rare factory "Special Performance
Vehicle" with "Rio Grande" option package". It was
originally ordered by Bob Rice Ford in Boise, Idaho on
June 6th 1969, built on July 9th and sold new retail
August 3rd 1969 to a gentleman in the North Boise area who
protected/enjoyed it with low miles until his passing...
In the
spring of 1993, my Father in-law (Art) purchased it from
his widow with only 24K actual miles. At the time of
purchase, it was neatly tucked away, in it's own single
car garage, where it had resided since new, neatly covered
with white bed sheets and had been quietly resting for
several years. The original tires were low on air and the
fuel had aged far too long. Cash exchanged hands, it was
towed home, fuel system cleaned, checked over and was
happily back on the road for limited duty...
Over the coming years, it remained coveted/protected in
Meridian, Idaho with limited low mile use by other family
members (including myself). Another one of those lucky
drivers was his brother Robert (my wife's uncle) from
Burbank, California who had the opportunity to enjoy it
every year when he would visit on vacation and mentioned
if it was ever up for sale, he would be proud to own it.
In early 2005, his wish would come true and it was on it's
way to enjoy in Southern California...
Fast
forward, garage kept, limited miles and 10+ years later, I
received a call from Robert stating that "it was time to
let the Ranchero go". Once again, I would have the
opportunity to re-visit this gem for sale, one more time.
Robert and I decided that it was best to transport it to
my home office for a good once over, extensive
documentation and representation through Spuds Garage...
